5th Class had an action-packed day which began with a visit to the Hyde Bridge Art Gallery, where they enjoyed viewing an exhibition by two local artists. The children then had the opportunity to create their own artwork and wrote some wonderful Haiku poems inspired by what they saw.
After lunch, we visited Sligo Abbey, where the class took part in a very informative tour. The pupils were highly engaged throughout and asked some excellent questions.
