WB Yeats

William Butler Yeats was born on the 13th of June 1865 in Dublin and die on the 28th of January 1939.His parents names are John Butler Yeats and Susan Pollexfen . He was the oldest of four siblings in his family.

At the age of 19 he attended Metropolitan school of act in Dublin but changed his mind to become a writer of poems. He wrote several poems about his love for county Sligo.

W.B.Yeats went through several reiationships in his life, most famously with Maud Gonne who served as an inspiration for several of his famous works.

W.B.Yeats was one of the leading figure of the 20th century in Ireland. He helped found the Abbey theatre in Dublin. He served as a senator of the Irish free state for two terms. In 1923 he was awarded the Nobel prize for literature

He died in France aged 73 during the second world war. Five years later his remains were brought back to Drumcliff,  to be buried under Benbulben.
